OUR ORIGIN

Before becoming an immersive studio space, Chalkak was a photo-tech laboratory pushing the boundaries of self-capture technology. We built our first camera core engine in a small garage, shipping hardware to studios across Asia before opening our own world.

It Started With a Question

Why should a photo booth feel like just another machine? We didn't begin with a plan, we began by building, testing, breaking and improving.

Cameras, lighting, software, payments, printers, logistics. A photo booth is not one machine, it's many systems that must behave like one.

I came across Chalkak while searching for a unique photo experience for our film premiere afterparty. The Vintage Press Studio exceeded every expectation.

Visitor note

I took a photo in the Vintage Room that looked just like my mom's wedding portrait from 1989. The nostalgia hit me so hard I teared up.
